Partnering for learning

The Kitchen Garden Learning Centre is a classroom like no other. Tailor-made to support the Kitchen Garden Foundation, it represents the future of food education in Australia.

The purpose of the Learning Centre is to provide innovative, hands-on training opportunities and experiences that invigorate and inspire greater educational and health outcomes for children across Australia.

The site will also act as a showcase for the Kitchen Garden Foundation and our projects - most predominantly the Kitchen Garden Program - and host visits with a diverse range of stakeholders who are interested in getting a closer look at the practical application and positive impact of pleasurable food education.

Influential stakeholders currently visiting the site include national and state politicians; Australian and international health, education, culinary and horticulture experts; philanthropists; and the media, to name but a few.

Situated at the redeveloped site of the original pilot Kitchen Garden Program at Collingwood College, the Learning Centre will be key to ensuring that Kitchen Garden Program training be delivered with continued excellence.
