The mission and purpose of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation is expressed through the flagship Kitchen Garden Program, which engages children aged 8 to 12 in pleasurable food education.
The Kitchen Garden Program is currently being implemented in primary schools spanning every state and territory in Australia, with 60% of participating schools situated in regional areas and 40% in metropolitan areas.
Currently 297 schools around Australia are Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Schools, with around 37,000 children actively engaged in the Program each year.
