Tweed Heads South Public School caters for students from pre-school to Year 6 and is located on the Far North Coast of NSW, five kilometres south of the NSW/Queensland border in the growing Tweed Heads area. The school draws students from an area with an abundance of low cost, medium density housing with several caravan parks offering long-term accommodation. Many families of students are transient often crossing the border between NSW and Queensland. Tweed Heads South Public School enrolment identifies 34 per cent of students from Indigenous backgrounds.
