Bolinda Primary School is rather unique. Due to our geographical location, we are able to provide an alternative education choice to the wider community. Bolinda provides a secure learning environment and a rewarding curriculum that strives to meet the needs of individual students. Parent Opinion Survey results indicate a higher than average satisfaction. The rural outlook of the school engenders pride, warmth, a sense of belonging and a strong partnership between home and school. The school has currently has 26 students working in two multi-age classes within one flexible learning space. The school has three full time teaching staff, two part time teacher aides and a business manager. Bolinda Primary School provides an educationally challenging learning and teaching program. It integrates the domains and dimensions of 'The Australian Victorian Essential Learning Standards' (AusVels) with a strong emphasis on Early Years Literacy, English, Mathematics, Health and Physical Education, Information and Communication Technology, Science, The Arts and LOTE (French). We also belong to a cluster of small rural schools consisting of Clarkefield and Darraweit Guim. This cluster has provided staff and students with opportunities to broaden academic and social activities through cluster and professional development days where students and staff can work, socialise and learn together. We are a 'Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden' School where our students learn to grow and cultivate vegetables in our garden, then prepare and eat healthy, nutritious meals in our kitchen. This program is strongly supported by our parents.
