Salisbury North R to 7 Primary School was established in 1954. Our community is a strong, proud and loyal group and many parents attended this school as students themselves. A strong focus on a range of innovative literacy practice operates across the school. These programs incorporate whole school assessment of reading and writing, literacy focus time, reading recovery, accelerated literacy and English as a second language. We also focus on oral language development in the early years. We have 'New Arrivals' classes to accommodate families from overseas and specialist teaching areas including; music, physical education and art. Extensive pastoral care programs are in place for students and families and are supported by school counsellors and a pastoral care worker.
