Window on the World

This activity is designed to facilitate closer observation of the natural environment in students.

It begins with instructions for one way to make a ‘window' from natural materials, followed by a worksheet which guides students to document evidence of insect life, plant life and past seasons, soil, sand and gravel.

These activities can be used to initiate ideas for an inquiry.

Curriculum links can be made to Science for Years 3 and 4.
