But with the beginning of autumn has come welcome sunshine and a new burst of growth and ripening from capsicums, beans, tomatoes and eggplant.

10-02-2011And what a cataclysmic summer this has been. Rain, rain, cyclones, bushfires and locusts. And not that much hot sun, at least in my part of the country.

19-01-2011In December the weather was so cold that all of my capsicum and eggplant plants sulked. Not a new leaf emerged in two weeks. I wondered if they would recover when or if the warmth arrives or will they just wither away beforehand?
