It's olive (preserving) season!
15-05-2012Saturday 12 May saw the Learning Centre kitchen play host to an olive preserving masterclass! Teresa Oates led a relaxed and informative workshop with lots of tastings along the way. The group was led through a number of olive preserving techniques – kalamata olives in brine, drying manzanilla olives and frying black olives with garlic and chilli – yum! Teresa also taught the group a technique for preserving green tomatoes and creating delicious green olive bread.

23-04-2012Apollo Bay P-12 College received funding to implement the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Victorian Program in early 2011 and have forged ahead in leaps and bounds since. Term 1 of 2012 saw the Apollo Bay students enjoying their very first kitchen and garden classes. The garden is thriving, abundant with beautiful produce, and the first term of kitchen classes was a huge success.
