Celebrating a great gourmet experience at Collingwood College
The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden at Collingwood College has been recognised as a groundbreaking gourmet destination as part of Australian Traveller Magazine’s 100 Greatest Australian Gourmet Experiences. The list was driven by 900 reader nominations from around Australia, with final selection by big-name foodies such as Matt Moran, Matthew Evans and our SA Ambassador Maggie Beer. Collingwood College came in at number 11, beating swanky restaurants such as Flower Drum in Melbourne and Aria in Sydney. This is a fabulous achievement for Stephanie’s first ever Kitchen Garden School, and highlights the mark that the food education revolution is making on Australian culture. As Stephanie says, "I’d like to see all primary schools have the opportunity to start a kitchen garden. It’s wonderful to see the positive outcomes." Congratulations Collingwood!
