Bulimba State School making news
28-04-2011Bulimba SS, our Kitchen Garden Demonstration School in Queensland, has been making headlines recently with its very successful implementation of the Kitchen Garden Program, and dedication to sustainable practices.
The school has been running the Program since 2009 and has an enthusiastic contingent of students, intent on taking the philosophy of the Program back home. Many Bulimba SS families now grow fresh food in their back gardens, and the school enjoys a great deal of community support - with everyone reaping the benefits.
Bulimba SS was also recently announced as one of the finalists in the Queensland Premier's ClimateSmart Sustainability Awards. The fantastic progress of the school has seen it feature in Brisbane's Sunday Mail as well as Ten News Brisbane - you can view the whole news piece here.
