Bungwahl PS finalist in World Environment Day Awards 2011

New South Wales Kitchen Garden School Bungwahl PS has just been announced as a finalist in the United Nations Association of Australia World Environment Day Awards 2011. Bungwahl PS is being recognised under the Environmental Schools Award category, for its ‘From the Garden-Kitchen/Canteen-Classroom' initiative.

Each year, in support of UNEP World Environment Day (5 June), the UNAA recognises innovative and outstanding environmental programs and initiatives from across Australia and the important work of Australian environmental leaders through its World Environment Day Awards program.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation Dinner in Melbourne, Friday 3 June, hosted by Mark Davis, presenter of SBS Dateline.
