Welcome new Kitchen Garden Program Partner: KitchenAid!
19-10-2011We are absolutely delighted to announce KitchenAid® as a new Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program Partner!
Since 1919, the KitchenAid brand has brought unprecedented convenience and ingenuity into kitchens across the globe. From pioneering the planetary mixing action over 90 years ago to unveiling the first stand mixers in pink, yellow and other covetable colours, KitchenAid products have been at the forefront of culinary trends.
This exciting, long-term partnership will see KitchenAid donate selected equipment to Kitchen Garden Schools for the next three years. This product donation will be supported by training and advice on how to best use the equipment with students in kitchen classes. KitchenAid will also extend their support to the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation by sharing their expertise and donating product as part of this partnership.
To launch the partnership, an iconic new Empire Red KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer is being presented to 250 Kitchen Garden Schools! Lucky Kitchen Specialists will each receive their new piece of equipment at their next Kitchen Garden Program training opportunity, along with a special KitchenAid workshop that will demonstrate how to get the most from this versatile machine.
Collingwood College in Melbourne was among the first schools nationwide to receive their KitchenAid Stand Mixer and KitchenAid Home Economist Jo Richardson (pictured) was on-hand to assist.
‘The response from the schools so far has been magical,' said Alana Fletcher, Communications and Sponsorship Manager for KitchenAid's Australia and New Zealand distributor, Peter McInnes Pty Ltd. ‘Eyes just light up when we present the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and it's so inspiring to see 8-12 year-old children use it with their Kitchen Specialist to create such healthy recipes. The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program is truly helping change a generation, and KitchenAid is proud to be a part of it as a Kitchen Garden Program Partner.'
‘The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program is delighted to welcome KitchenAid as a Partner in the pleasurable food education revolution,' said Stephanie. ‘Support from KitchenAid not only provides students with hands-on access to quality equipment but also plays a role in enhancing their learning experiences in the Kitchen Garden Program. KitchenAid's contribution over the next three years will also provide inspirational support to the hundreds of Kitchen Specialists who are passionately leading kitchen classes in schools across Australia every week.'
