Collingwood College Spring Fair this Sunday!

The original Kitchen Garden School, Collingwood College in inner-city Melbourne, is about to hold its annual Spring Fair extravaganza, on Sunday 17 October from 11 am - 4 pm, cnr Cromwell & McCutcheon Way, Collingwood.

Set in the city's heartland, with a beautiful flourishing garden, brand-new kitchen facilities and a very dedicated local kitchen garden community, Collingwood College demonstrates first-hand the benefits of the Kitchen Garden Program.

This special day in the kitchen garden calendar offers a mix of traditional and modern fare, with many performances from local musicians and free activities for kids. Goods for sale include craft and pre-loved items, seeds and seedlings, homemade cakes and biscuits, pizza hot from the wood-fired oven and an array of preserves made by the kitchen garden kids themselves - a really beautiful way to spend the day! 

So if you're in the area and want to get involved, please come along and join the Foundation team. We have a lot of activities planned ourselves, including:

• A kitchen garden treasure hunt 
• Gumboot-throwing competitions
• An opportunity for book signings with Stephanie
• Sneak-peek tours of the Foundation's Kitchen Garden Learning Centre, with Stephanie in the lead.
