UK education study finds gardening boosts literacy and numeracy

A newly released study undertaken by the UK's National Foundation for Educational Research has found that children involved in gardening at school display greater independence and are better at solving problems.

According to the report, growing vegetables and tending flowerbeds boosts a child's development and improves their performance in other subjects.

Of course this isn't news to us, as the findings correspond with our own recent Evaluation Report - it's a nice cross-continental correlation!
