Our Schools Training
This training is designed for staff and volunteers working in schools participating in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. This training is also available to Kitchen Garden Program Subscribers.
While some sessions are mandatory for staff in new Kitchen Garden Schools, many training options are designed with professional development in mind, ensuring schools deliver the full benefits of the Program to their students.

Curriculum Integration Workshops
This workshop is for anyone who wants to extend their knowledge around integrating the Kitchen Garden Program into their school curriculum.The garden and kitchen are authentic sites for inquiry-based and hands-on learning. Best of all, gardens and kitchens are flexible spaces that facilitate learning across all streams of the new Australian Curriculum in all states and territories. This in-depth session will move the group from idea generation through to workshopping classroom plans and activities, and looks at creating units of work that meet the needs of the school, the students, and the requirements of curriculum in each state. Kitchen Garden Program Professional Development
These full-day and highly anticipated advanced workshops enable Kitchen and Garden Specialists and Educators to build on their skills and develop new ones through specialised workshops and networking. The workshops vary every time, and may include things like sausage making, cheesemaking, advanced recycling or wicking beds to name just a few. Webinar and Phone Conference Series
We have established a series of free webinars and phone conferences especially aimed at supporting our regional and remote schools, but which are open to all Kitchen Garden Schools and Program Subscribers. They cover a series of topics we find we get the most questions about, and are an opportunity for networking, discussion, asking questions and learning from both Foundation staff and experienced Kitchen Garden School staff. Kitchen Specialist networking, with KitchenAid

Kitchen and Garden Specialist Training (one-day options)
The one-day options for Kitchen Garden Specialist Training are open to all National Program schools who have already attended their mandatory training, but who may have new or additional staff to train. It is in-depth, hands-on training designed to provide all the basics to Specialists who deliver classes under the National Program.If it is the first time you attend training, choose the Introductory workshop indicated on the date. If you are attending for the second time, then the Advanced workshop is recommended.

Program Delivery Training
Program Delivery Training is mandatory training provided for Kitchen and Garden Educators and Specialists at our National Program schools running the 'Flexible Model' from 2013 onwards. It is in-depth, hands-on training designed to provide all the basics to teachers delivering kitchen and/or garden classes, as well as specialists who deliver classes under the National Program.It consists of two sessions, an Introductory session and an Advanced session, each of which runs over two days. These sessions are scheduled approximately six months apart and are each divided into a 'kitchen stream' or a 'garden stream'.

It is in-depth, hands-on training designed to provide all the basics to Specialists who deliver classes under the National Program.The training consists of two sessions, an Introductory session and an Advanced session, each of which runs over one day. These sessions are scheduled approximately six months apart.
