Exclusive book sales at Stonefields Open Garden Weekend

Wednesday, March 30, 2016

Visitors to the Stonefields Open Garden Weekend will get an exclusive first chance to buy Stephanie Alexander’s new book before its official release, as well as get it signed!

Kitchen Garden Companion: Growing is the first volume of the fully updated paperback edition of Stephanie’s Kitchen Garden Companion, which has been divided into two books.

The book is not released until 18 April, but visitors to Paul Bangay’s Stonefields Open Garden Weekend on 16 & 17 April will have a unique opportunity to get their hands on the book before the general public.

Stephanie will also be at the event to personally sign her books so, as well as being able to buy the book before its official release, visitors can also meet the author herself!

As well as Stephanie’s new book, visitors to Stonefields will also be able to buy more titles from Stephanie’s extensive back catalogue.

Books by Paul Bangay, the renowned landscape designer who is generously opening his private Stonefields garden as a fundraiser for the Kitchen Garden Foundation, will also be for sale at the event.

And Paul will be on hand to personally sign his books and chat with visitors.

The book tent will also be selling Kitchen Garden Foundation aprons and copies of the gorgeous Fowlers preserving book What’s Old is New Again, which have been generously donated to the Foundation by Fowlers Vacola.

But the book sales are not the only added attraction at the Stonefields Open Garden Weekend … visitors also have the chance to buy tickets for a raffle draw with almost $5000 worth of top food and gardening prizes!

Top prizes include:

  • A two-night mid-week stay at The Barn Daylesford (valued at $950)
  • The chance to have Union Dining’s Nicky Riemer prepare a very special four-course dinner, with matched Victorian wines, for four people at the winner’s home (valued at $800)
  • More prizes generously donated by Crown Towers, the Rockpool Foundation, Martin Kellock Pots & Planters, Grossi Florentino, Cutler & Co., Paul Bangay, Fleming’s Nurseries, Ryset Australia and Phillippa’s.

Paul Bangay’s Stonefields Open Garden Weekend is from 10am – 4pm on 16 & 17 April at 20 Belty Drive, Denver, Victoria (halfway between Daylesford and Kyneton).

Buy your tickets online now for $25, or buy them on the event weekend for $30.
