Happy Kitchen Garden Month! See what’s on offer throughout September.

FY2025 saw us deepen our connection with First Nations communities, as well as schools and early childhood services in low socio-economic areas.

We celebrated 20 years of the Kitchen Garden Foundation in FY24, and delivered our flagship Kitchen Garden Month event at Parliament House.

FY2023 saw a return to face-to-face PD, and the continuation of our Healthy Kids Advisors initiative and fresh produce campaigns with Coles.

In FY2022 we launched the Healthy Kids Advisors initiative, and marked 20 years of the Kitchen Garden Program with Kitchen Garden Week.

In FY2021 the Foundation launched the Kitchen Garden Program for Secondary Years, and welcomed our new partner General Mills.

In FY2020 we welcomed new partners Coles, Mirvac and Saputo Dairy Australia; and launched the Kitchen Garden Program for Early Childhood.

FY2019 saw the launch of Playground to Plate, targeting disadvantaged schools; our Turning the Tables fundraising campaign; and continuing work on the Secondary Years Kitchen Garden Project.

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation’s Impact Report outlines the evidence-based impact of the Kitchen Garden Program and how our curriculum-linked learnings are internationally recognised as providing social, health, wellbeing and sustainability benefits to children and communities.

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation led the Healthy Kids Advisors initiative on behalf of the Victorian Government from 2021 to 2024. This initiative significantly exceeded expectations and demonstrated the success of the Foundation’s bold approach to community place-based projects.
