Red Hill School is located in the inner south of Canberra close to the parliamentary triangle. The school community is highly diverse and international with families from diplomatic government defence force university and business backgrounds. It comprises students of families living within the priority enrolment zone as well as from many families across Canberra who also choose to send their children to Red Hill School. Enrolment is currently at capacity with 675 students from preschool to year six. Opened in 1960 the school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2010. Many of the school’s buildings and facilities have recently been upgraded with a new library hall/sports centre and ICT facilities. Further refurbishments have added new classrooms specialist teaching areas and upgrade playground areas. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School we provide an international education to all students from preschool to year 6.
