Richardson Primary School is ‘a small school achieving big things’ (Jane Caro semester 2 2008). Students have plenty of opportunity to participate and excel in a wide range of passions and skills. Situated in the Tuggeranong Valley Richardson Primary School opened in 1984 and as part of the Commonwealth Government’s recent Building the Education Revolution rebuilt the school library senior classrooms and the children’s toilet facilities. The school has upgraded the playground facilities and is currently purchasing student computers / laptops for use in classrooms and media equipment for the school hall. Currently the school has a student population of 220 students. Included within the school structure is a learning support class and a double session preschool. Since the commencement of 2010 the school offers 15 hours of preschool education per week. In addition the school operates a Koori Preschool program for Aboriginal and Torres Straits Islanders children aged 3-5 years. A key goal for our school is to increase student engagement in learning
