The Friends' School is a coeducational K to 12 school of around 1300 students in Hobart. It was founded in 1887 by members of The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), who sought to create a school based on Quaker principles of service, integrity, respect, peace and justice, simplicity, community, equality and Earth care.
The Friends' School continues to hold Quaker values at its core and is currently the largest Quaker school in the world. Friends' School students are supported and encouraged to develop as people who will think clearly, act with integrity, make decisions for themselves, be sensitive to the needs of others and the environment, be strong in service and hold a global perspective.
