SOLD OUT! Annie Smithers has led the way in the garden to table experience, first with her iconic Annie Smithers' Bistrot in Kyneton and now with du Fermier in Trentham – where up to 90% of the produce used in the classic French country cuisine comes straight from her abundant garden.

Join Annie for this hands-on workshop and learn to create warming winter dishes that will take you straight to a French family table.

Details

Annie, well-known for her warmth and generous spirit, will turn the Learning Centre kitchen into a French farmhouse kitchen. Learn some of the cooking techniques and traditions that have underpinned French cuisine for centuries. Annie’s philosophy relies on comfortable, honest food that is augmented by the daily bake, preserves and the ritual daily harvest.

Following a fun morning of cooking where Annie will have you chopping and preparing a range of winter dishes based on produce straight from the garden, we will finish the day by sitting down to enjoy and share a beautiful meal together.

Annie grows up to 90% of what goes into the food she cooks operating a business that’s very in line with the Kitchen Garden Program philosophy having been mentored by Stephanie throughout her career, a relationship that began when Annie first apprenticed with Stephanie.
