This Adelaide schools tour visits established Kitchen Garden Schools throughout the city that have been running the Kitchen Garden Program for several years and are now reaping the benefits. Join the tour to viewthe unique school gardens and kitchens, talk to school and Foundation staff, meet like-minded people and see the Kitchen Garden Program in action. Delicious fresh lunch included!

This is an inspirational day that showcases each school's beautiful and productive garden as well as the different home-style kitchens, and gives participants a chance to get closer to the Program in action.
 
We will visit four Kitchen Garden Schools, representing some of our longest-running as well as our newer schools. First is Blair Athol North School, then Hampstead Primary School; Elizabeth Downs Primary School is next, followed by Elizabeth Park Primary School. We'll enjoy a beautiful seasonal lunch along the way.
 
The tours are suitable for staff from interested schools and new Kitchen Garden Schools, as well as our Subscribers and interested members of the public. All welcome!
 

Additional Details

Please bring a notebook and pen, camera, water and snacks; lunch is provided. As we will be visiting school gardens a hat and sunscreen/coat and appropriate footwear are advised.
 
Please note this tour is not suitable for children.

Pick-up is at Blair Athol North School. We'll be commencing at 9am sharp to get the most out of the day, so please try to arrive by 8:45am. The bus will arrive back at the school by 3:30pm. We request that you park in the surrounding roads rather than the school capark, to avoid inconvenience for parents and staff.
