Aimed at trained Kitchen Garden Program staff, this full-day workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to further develop specific garden and kitchen skills, and to spend time with fellow Kitchen Garden Program staff from other schools. Expert presenters will lead a range of workshops where you will be able to learn new skills and advance existing ones.

Throughout the day there will be plenty of time for networking with the growing community of kitchen and garden Specialists and teachers.

The ultimate garden and kitchen learning experience: a day filled with hands-on workshops, discussion and skill sessions led by engaging presenters as will as plenty of opportunities to collaborate with Kitchen Garden Program colleagues.

This will be a fun-filled day of learning shared with your local Kitchen Garden Program peers. This workshop-based day will provide an opportunity for building your skills in particular areas of the kitchen or garden. In addition to the skills workshops you will have plenty of time to catch up and make new connections with peers from the Kitchen Garden Program community. There will also be time to catch up on news from the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.

Woodend Primary School Garden Specialist, Monina Gilbey, will lead a garden session on insects in the garden, guiding participants through fun and creative activity ideas like how to make an insect hotel. Then, Kitchen Garden Foundation Education Officer, Gaby Banay will lead a kitchen session focusing on North African cuisine, exploring the delights of tangines, preserved lemons, Charmoula and more. It promises to be a fun and informative day!
 

Additional Details

Please wear comfortable clothing for kitchen and garden workshops and closed shoes.  Bring a hat/wet weather gear/sunscreen as appropriate, a camera, notebook and pen.
