This training is designed specifically for new Kitchen Specialist and Garden Specialist staff members joining established Kitchen Garden Schools, who will deliver your school's kitchen and garden classes. The Advanced option is also suitable for those who have not recently attended training but are looking for a refresher course.

Attendees will receive either the Kitchen Garden Program Introductory Syllabus or the Advanced Syllabus, depending on which option they nominate.

If you have recently attended either our Program Delivery Training or the two-day Kitchen Garden Specialist Training (Intensive Model) then we do not recommend this training for you. Please consider our Professional Development Workshops instead, which provide opportunities for fun, skilled workshops that extend your knowledge even further, and are a great way of networking with other people working within the Program.

This training will help Specialists develop and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program philosophy and delivery. Both days concentrate on learning hands-on techniques, but also include sessions on practical skills development such as advanced planning and volunteer and budget management. This is the ideal training to take the Kitchen Garden Program to the next level of garden productivity and to develop inspired kitchen menus.
