This hands-on training session equips Kitchen Specialists and Garden Specialists with the essential skills and knowledge to help them plan, prepare and deliver kitchen and garden classes in their schools. We'll explore the structure and core elements of classes and discuss potential issues and challenges, while actively participating in a real-life kitchen class and garden class. Other elements covered on the day may include:

 – planning and budgeting techniques
 – recruiting and attracting volunteers
 – tips and inspiration for kitchen and garden activities
 – common issues and challenges and how to overcome  them.

We are pleased to announce that our new Program Partner KitchenAid will be donating a beautiful Stand Mixer to every school currently in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program nationally. They will join us to demonstrate the many uses of the Stand Mixer, and to present a Stand Mixer to every Kitchen Garden School that attends on the day.

Additional Details

Please wear comfortable clothing for kitchen and garden workshops and closed shoes.  Bring a hat/wet weather gear/sunscreen as appropriate, a camera, notebook and pen.

Kitchen Specialists please note - our new Program Partner KitchenAid will for the first time be attending to present their gift to each Program school of a beautiful KitchenAid Stand Mixer! You will be able to take this away on the day, and benefit from a workshop showing you all the best tips to get the most from this versatile machine.
