Cheesemaking is a fascinating process and one that many Kitchen Specialists ask us about. Clearly you won't have time to make ripened bries or aged cheddars in a typical kitchen class, but did you know it's quite quick to make some simple soft ones? Master cheesemaker Isobel Piper will take you through all the steps you need, so you can take this engaging technique back to your students, and possibly even save the kitchen dairy budget while you're at it.

Maker of artisan cheeses, Isobel Piper is a veteran Kitchen Garden Program presenter and winner of Red Hill Show's ‘Best Cheese in Show’ two years running. Isobel also won ‘Best Cheese in Show’ and ‘Best Exhibitor’ at Bemboka Show (NSW) in 2009. Isobel runs her own goats and has studied French soft cheesemaking at Holy Goat Dairy near Bendigo. You will be inspired and empowered in this workshop to produce simple dairy products, from scratch, in your school kitchen.
