Keeping chooks often raises a lot of questions about their care and general maintenance, and how best to look after them in the school environment. Karina will use this session to talk breeds, pests and diseases, chookhouse design, daily care – in fact anything to do with taking care of your feathered friends! This session is a more advanced look at keeping chickens than the 10.30 introductory session above.

Karina was initially a passionate parent on the Kitchen Garden Program establishment committee at Rostrata PS in Willetton, and has now been the Garden Specialist there for the last three and half years. She combines a keen interest in permaculture and the sustainable aspects of gardening with a background as a teacher.
