Why not let the chooks do all the hard work improving your beds for you and build a movable chook pen? Building a chook tractor is quite easy, and can be simply made with just flexible conduit, joiners and chicken wire. This will be a hands-on workshop, the result being a 3-metre-diameter chook tractor that can be adapted to many school gardens.
