Cracking Curriculum Ideas focuses on linking your kitchen garden program with the following learning areas:
- English
- Mathematics
- Design and technologies
- Health and physical education.
The course also offers ideas for other learning areas and subjects, including the arts, science, history and geography.
Course objectives
- Understand how to uncover meaningful learning opportunities in the kitchen garden, which link to the Curriculum.
- Enhance skills in planning and managing learning objectives.
- Develop practical teaching activities with access to relevant resources.
- Develop teaching strategies to support Curriculum integration, including inquiry-based learning and project-based learning.
