Details
Intake 2 commences in October 2013, with the Introductory Session, and completes in July 2014 with the Advanced Session.
Each new school should send two staff members to this training. It is designed for the staff members who will deliver kitchen and garden classes, whether they are a teacher or a Kitchen Garden Specialist. If schools have only one staff member delivering kitchen classes as well as garden classes, a supporting Kitchen Garden Assistant is required to attend this training. It is a decision of the school which person attends the kitchen stream or the garden stream within this training.
Additional Details
You will choose to take either the Kitchen or Garden streams at the sessions, depending upon your area of specialty at your school. Please come prepared for hands-on sessions in kitchen or garden, so closed shoes are a must, and garden educators may be outside for parts of each day so should bring hats/sunscreen or coats as necessary. You will receive a copy of the Introductory or Advanced Kitchen Garden Program Syllabus at your sessions, as well as a folder containing useful handouts for supplementary information.
