Fundraising for your Kitchen Garden Program is very important in making it sustainable for the long term. Cheese is always a crowd pleaser, and when it is handmade it is also an impressive talking point, especially when it's a result of your school kitchen. Susan Meagher will take you though the basics of cheesemaking and you may even get to take some home!

Details

Susan Meagher has been making cheese for years and teaching cheesemaking workshops since 2010. She officially opened The Cheesemaking Workshop with her sister Lyndall in 2012 and is off to a roaring start.

In this workshop you will learn to make some simple soft cheeses that do not need to age before eating. Susan will share tips and hints about getting the process right, using her simplified method that makes it easy for anyone to  successfully produce cheese. You will get to enjoy the fruits of your labour during the wine and cheese networking hour at the end of the day and will most likely get to take some of the cheese home to share with your family and friends.
