The one-day options for Kitchen Garden Specialist Training are open to all National Program schools who have already attended their mandatory training, but who may have new or additional staff to train. It is in-depth, hands-on training designed to provide all the basics to Specialists who deliver classes under the National Program.
Details
This training is a special option for Tasmanian schools, and Specialists will join new Kitchen and Garden Teachers on day 2 of their Program Delivery Training.
Attendees will receive the Kitchen Garden Program Introductory Syllabus.
If you have recently attended either our Program Delivery Training or the two-day Kitchen Garden Specialist Training (Intensive Model) then we do not recommend this training for you. Please consider our Professional Development Workshops instead, which provide opportunities for fun, skilled workshops that extend your knowledge even further, and are a great way of networking with other people working within the Program.
This training will help Specialists develop and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program philosophy and delivery. We will concentrate on learning hands-on techniques, but also include sessions on practical skills development such as advanced planning and volunteer and budget management. This is the ideal training to take the Kitchen Garden Program to the next level of garden productivity and to develop inspired kitchen menus.
Please come prepared for hands-on sessions in either the kitchen or the garden, including appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions.
We look forward to working with you!
