This is an inspirational day that showcases some beautiful and productive school gardens as well as the schools' home-style kitchens, and gives participants a chance to get closer to the Program in action.

Join the tour to view kitchen and garden classes in action, speak to Foundation staff and school staff, and enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch as well as morning tea, provided by the students at the host schools. We will visit four of our established Kitchen Garden Schools: Brunswick South Primary School, Meadows Primary School, Findon Primary School and Montmorency Primary School.

The tour is suitable for staff from interested schools and new Kitchen Garden Schools, as well as our Subscribers and interested members of the public.

Additional Details

Please bring a notebook and pen, camera, water and snacks; lunch is provided. As we will be visiting school gardens a hat and sunscreen/coat and appropriate footwear are advised.

Please note this tour is not suitable for children.

The tour will begin at Federation Square - there is paid parking at Federation Square but public transport is advisable. Please meet at the corner of Russell Street and Flinders Street. The bus will leave at 9am sharp and return by approximately 4pm.
