The Kitchen Garden Foundation has created an information session and kitchen garden tour especially for the Mornington Peninsula and south-eastern suburbs to share the benefits of pleasurable food education.
Details
The information session is a relaxed and informal event and is free to attend.
The session will include a tour of Osborne Primary School's awesome kitchen and garden set-up. Staff from Osborne Primary School and Support Coordinator Gab Banay from the Foundation will be at hand to answer all your questions about running a kitchen garden program.
We'll also be talking about the Victorian Pleasurable Food Education Package, subsidised by funding from the Victorian Department of Education and now available to Victorian schools and early learning centres. The Package is a complete kitchen garden toolkit of educational resources, professional development and support that gives you all the information you need to start growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing fresh, seasonal, delicious food.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re an early years educator, teacher, Principal, school administrator, volunteer or interested family member, we’d love to see you there.
The event is expected to run for approximately 90 minutes.
If you cannot make the session but would like to hear more about the exciting Victorian Pleasurable Food Education Package for Victorian schools and early learning centres, please contact us on support@kitchengardenfoundation.org.au.
