Details

Delivering Kitchen Garden Classes is designed specifically for new staff joining established Kitchen Garden Program Schools and is also ideal for any Members that have recently joined the Kitchen Garden Classroom. It is also useful for any school staff involved in the Program, such as Principals, Assistant Principals and classroom teachers, who would benefit from a deeper understanding of pleasruable food education operates and how to make the most of it for their school community.

The training covers all elements of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden pleasurable food education philosophy and delivery. It centres on the hands-on aspect of the delivery of kitchen and garden classes, but also includes sessions on integrating pleasurable food education, planning menus and creating garden activities, as well as planning classes and incorporating volunteers.

Each training day is led by an experienced facilitator who will provide opportunities for you to ask questions and discuss your school’s individual circumstances. The day will also feature a delicious shared lunch based on Kitchen Garden Program recipes.

[Note: If you have recently attended the two-day Program Delivery Training we recommend you consider Networking & Skills Days instead, which provide opportunities for fun, skilled workshops that extend your knowledge even further, and are a great way of networking with other people working within the Program.]

We look forward to working with you!
