This session looks beyond curriculum implementation to focus on planning techniques, as well as the opportunities available to teaching staff to link to the new Australian Curriculum in the kitchen, the garden and the classroom. It will focus on techniques and examples of whole-school planning to assist you with your own curriculum planning for 2013 at a timely point in the year.

Aimed at Program Coordinators and teaching staff, this Curriculum Planning Workshop looks in detail at planning, with the Australian Curriculum in focus. The structure of the new curriculum provides opportunities for schools to use the kitchen and garden across many learning areas and also for cross-curriculum objectives and general capabilities. The day will include a guest session that will drill into the detail of cross-curriculum planning, as well as a short presentation from one of our Specialists, which will inspire the afternoon workshop. The day also includes an introduction to and exploration of the latest of the Kitchen Garden Foundation's classroom resources.
