Specialist Professional Development is the ultimate kitchen and garden learning experience: an entire day filled with hands-on workshops, discussions and skill sessions. The training is designed to enhance Kitchen Garden Specialists' knowledge and skills, to help them plan, prepare and deliver successful, engaging and enjoyable kitchen and garden classes in their schools. Participants will enjoy sessions based on Kitchen Garden Program activities, such as bread making, sausage making, fruit-tree espaliering and caring for chooks.
All participants should come out of the day with:
-increased knowledge and skills in areas specific to the kitchen and/or garden.
-the ability to transfer their knowledge and skills into kitchen garden classes.
-having shared experiences and ideas and gained knowledge from other Specialists
-an awareness of neighbouring schools within their regions and a plan for future regional meetings

Please choose a workshop per session according to your own skills preferences and role at your school – it is highly recommended that Garden Specialists attend garden workshops, and Kitchen Specialists attend kitchen workshops. Please come dressed appropriately for hands-on sessions – all attendees are requested to wear covered shoes for safety, and if choosing garden workshops then please note that unless the weather is inclement these will be held outdoors.
