On the day, participants will learn about:

·      compost ingredients – what can and can’t be composted

·      the 4 key principles of composting: techniques and tricks

·      the compost lifecycle and why it’s important to cure it 

·      troubleshooting common composting problems

The outcomes of this course are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers as outlined by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL).

Getting the most from your compost will contribute evidence towards 1.0 hours of accredited professional development in maintaining the following standards:

2.2: Organise teaching content into effective learning and teaching sequence that can be delivered in classroom or whole school scenarios.

 4.2: Establish and maintain orderly and workable routines to create an environment where students time is spent on learning tasks

This online workshop will take place using Zoom. A link will be sent to all registered participants before the event. You can join the workshop using a computer, tablet or mobile phone. 

A recording of the workshop will be sent to participants after the session.
