Get ready for an authentic Spanish cuisine experience with Alba Gomez from Spanish food association, Eat Spanish Australia.   

Find out what distinguishes Spanish cooking from Mexican and other Latin style foods and share a traditional Spanish recipe that uses seasonal kitchen garden veggies and is simple to make with children. 

Alba Gomez is an experienced kitchen garden educator and cook who is passionate about educating people about traditional Spanish cooking. She runs her own Spanish catering business, as well as being part of the integration team at Kingswood Primary School in Melbourne.

On the day, participants will have:

  • insights into Spanish culture 
  • introduction to traditional Spanish ingredients 
  • how to make traditional Spanish dish pisto

The outcomes of this course are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers as outlined by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL).

The Flavours of Spain will contribute evidence towards 1.0 hours of accredited professional development in maintaining the following standards:

2.2 : Organise teaching content into effective learning and teaching sequence that can be delivered in classroom or whole school scenarios

4.2: Establish and maintain orderly and workable routines to create an environment where students time is spent on learning tasks

This online workshop will take place using Zoom. A link will be sent to all registered participants before the event. You can join the workshop using a computer, tablet or mobile phone.
