In this workshop you will learn from brilliant chef Susanne Wilder how  to make some simple and delicious canapés that can be served at any event you host, and would be especially suited to showcasing your Program to parents, community members and potential donors.

The focus of this workshop will be creating simple and delicious canapés that you and your students can make and serve at your own fundraising events. These canapés will highlight seasonal produce from the garden and will be served to the group during the wine and cheese networking hour at the end of the day.

Susanne E. Wilder, CFE, is a Home Economist (Washington State University), reformed cordon bleu chef, nutrition consultant, food stylist for print and film, writer, author of seven cookbooks, culinary consultant to the food industry, and instructor with three decades of experience in the food service and consumer food industries. Currently she is relief teaching to support her food writing habit, adventure travel and murder food mystery play.

Susanne has written for newspapers from San Diego to Seattle, magazines from the US to Australia, international websites and an e-book on sustainability: From Sustainable Garden to Table. Avocationally, Susanne is a Hatha yoga instructor as well as a roller-blading, biking, kayaking and fishing bon vivant! Chef Wilder is working on new formulas and PR for various organic and healthy Australian food clients as well as a murder food mystery series.
