Saving seed and propagating your own seedlings are not only great ways to save money in your garden, they are also fantastic fundraising ventures for your Kitchen Garden Program! Greg and Vera Meyer of Permaculture Sydney West bring many years experience to this workshop, sharing several techniques for successful seed saving and propagation in your school garden.

Details

Greg Meyer is the President of Permaculture Sydney West and runs a monthly seed saving and exchange workshop to share his passion for preserving heritage varieties of plants. Vera Meyer is an active member of the Permaculture Sydney West group and hugely knowledgeable in these areas as well. So, you get the benefit of two experienced and passionate presenters in one workshop!

This is a very hands-on session and there will be lots of time for questions and discussion about propagation methods and the benefits of seed saving. You will learn about planting from seed and cuttings in particular, and may even get to take home a few plants to add to your kitchen garden!
