Regional Networking provides Program Coordinators, Kitchen and Garden Specialists and other interested staff from Kitchen Garden Schools the opportunity to meet up, to share their successes to date, network and most importantly to have fun and learn.
Details
For this Regional Networking day we will meet at the Yandina Community Gardens at 9:30am. Here we will enjoy a tour of the sub-tropical gardens, harvest some sub-tropical plants, learn how to prepare these useful food crops and enjoy a lunch of sub-tropical foods prepared by Linda Mahony, chef and gardener.
We are particularly excited about this opportunity to visit Yandina Community Gardens because sub-tropical plants are easy to grow in the Sunshine Coast region and can provide year-round produce for our school kitchens. This will be a true learning experience for growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing sub-tropical foods.
Additional Details
Please feel welcome to bring anything from your garden that you might like to share with others, particularly plants or garden or kitchen journals, recipes or activity ideas.
There is plenty of parking available at the venue.
