In the kitchen, we'll be joined by experienced teacher and facilitator Vimla Hayman, who will unlock the secrets of using herbs and spices to enhance flavour. Vimla is Indian Fijian brings with her a rich Indian Fijian cultural background and delicious recipes to share as she takes you on a journey through the world of spices.
In the garden, we'll be focusing on how to boost your garden’s productivity by attracting native bees and beneficial insects. Our experienced presenter will talk through the various types of Australian bees and how you can establish a hive in your school's kitchen garden. You'll also learn how beneficial insects can help with pest control and productivity.
While Members are welcome to attend this workshop, if you have just joined the Kitchen Garden Classroom we recommend you attend the Delivering Kitchen Garden Classes workshop in Sydney on 19 August.

Please wear comfortable clothing for kitchen and garden workshops and closed shoes. Bring a hat/wet weather gear/sunscreen as appropriate, a camera, notebook and pen.
