Join us for an interactive session as we explore the power of flour in a kitchen garden program, with extensive links to learning.

Participate by cooking along or sit back and take it all in. Learn about the many links to learning you can make with just flour and water – from history, to science and sustainability.

Making dough is also a great activity for remote learning, or as a COVID-friendly task for those just back in the classroom.

Steph McLeod from the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation explains: “Flour is the vehicle that carries whatever produce is coming out of your garden, allowing it to shine and be the hero of the meal. And the children simply love the fun, hands on approach to learning”.

Have a go at making Pizza of the Imagination, or simply come along for the journey as we dig deeper into the power of flour.

This drop-in session is hosted in partnership by the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation and AVID Australia.
