We’re excited to launch a new Shared Table in September.

The Shared Table is our online community hub and resource library — a place for kitchen garden educators across Australia to share, learn and grow together.

The new platform has been designed to make it easier for members to:

  • Share what’s happening in their kitchen and garden
  • Find recipes, activities and program resources
  • Discover ideas and inspiration from other educators
  • Ask questions and connect with the wider kitchen garden community

We know that moving to a new platform can raise questions, so we’ve brought together key information below.

If there’s anything we haven’t covered, contact us at support@kitchengardenfoundation.org.au or call 1300 SAKGF (1300 072 543).

Frequently asked questions

When will the new Shared Table launch?

The new platform will launch in early September. We’ll notify you via email.

How will I access the new platform?

When the new Shared Table launches, we’ll send you an email with instructions to log in using your current login details.

The first time you log in, you’ll be guided through a few short steps to set up your account, and that’s it! You’ll be on the new Shared Table and ready to explore.

Will I need to create a new account?

No. You’ll continue using your existing member account details to access the Shared Table. When you log in for the first time, you’ll be guided through a short setup process to activate your account on the new platform.

Will I still be able to access the current Shared Table?

No. When the new Shared Table platform launches in September, the current Shared Table will no longer be accessible.

What will happen to my posts on the current Shared Table?

The content you have posted on the current Shared Table will not be transferred to the new platform. Kitchen Garden Program resources will be available on the new platform, but your saved resources list will not carry across.

If you’d like to keep a copy of your posts, take a moment during August to log in to the current Shared Table and save them onto your computer.

My colleague is not on the Shared Table – can they get access?

Absolutely! Educators directly involved in the Kitchen Garden Program at member schools and early childhood services are welcome on the Shared Table, up to a limit of five.

To arrange access, contact our Kitchen Garden team via support@kitchengardenfoundation.org.au or 13000 SAKGF (1300 072 543).

Why is the Shared Table changing?

The new platform has been designed in direct response to feedback from Kitchen Garden Program members. Educators told us they wanted a Shared Table that makes it easier to find resources, share ideas and connect.

The new Shared Table offers a more intuitive, user-friendly experience to better support the way our community learns, shares and grows together.

What’s the difference between the current and the new Shared Table?

As we move to the new platform, you’ll find new ways to share and connect with others through posts and comments, with the flexibility to include photos, videos and PDFs.

We hope the layout is easier to navigate and the AI assistance is useful for finding relevant resources and ideas quickly. Plus, you will now be able to access the Shared Table through a mobile app!

What if I need help?

We’re here to support you through the transition and make it as smooth as possible. You can contact us via support@kitchengardenfoundation.org.au or 13000 SAKGF (1300 072 543). And help will be available on the new platform too.

You’re invited to join us in September for our New Shared Table Launch webinar – register here. If you can’t make the time, a recording will be provided to all registrants and will also be available on the new Shared Table
