Dandenong Primary School is over 135 years old and rich in history and traditions that give focus to many activities for a new generation of children from many parts of the world including Samoa, Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Serbia and Bosnia. Almost 80% of children come from homes where English is not the main language, 41 different languages are spoken and 154 families representing 224 students are supported by the Educational Maintenance Allowance. Enrolment has doubled in the last 16 years and is currently 319.
