Community helps Trunkey PS launch Kitchen Garden Program

The IMC Foundation is a privately funded organisation that aims to level the educational playing field so that all children have the best opportunity to reach their full potential. A member of the IMC Foundation committee, Greg Nairn, has led the IMC Foundation’s relationship with Old Guildford Public School to support them in the development of their Kitchen Garden Program. Celebrating Food Revolution Day 2013

The entire Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation team gathered for a shared lunch of delicious seasonal foods to celebrate Food Revolution Day – a global day of action for people to make a stand for good food, essential cooking skills and awareness of the importance of food education world-wide initiated by Jamie Oliver. The Barooga PS garden in summer

An excerpt from the latest Barooga Primary School newsletter: ‘Last week was very hot working in the garden in the afternoons. After quickly completing some necessary tasks, the classes retreated to the cool of the classroom to write descriptions of what is growing in our garden this summer. I was very impressed by the older students' recall of the different types of fruits and vegetables we are growing. Below are some examples of the students' work.
