Bunches of fun with broccolini

We’re celebrating one of our favourite veggies this month – broccolini! Broccolini has a mild, sweet flavour with a peppery edge. It has long tender stems ending in feathery florets. It's super versatile, easy to cook and works well with many cooking methods or cuisines. Plus - you can eat the whole plant with nothing to cut and nothing to waste!

Now’s the perfect time to add this versatile veggie to your next Coles shop. From Wednesday April 3 to Tuesday April 30, 30 cents from every Coles Australian Broccolini Family Pack will be donated to the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, up to a maximum of $100,000.

To celebrate, we’re sharing a new range of recipes and resources where broccolini is the star of the show. Our Founder Stephanie Alexander AO has gifted us her scrumptious Broccolini with Crunchy Garlic Breadcrumbs recipe. Coles Ambassadors Courtney Roulston and Michael Weldon are providing their own delicious spin with their Pork & Broccolini Coconut Curry and Grilled Broccolini with Yoghurt Ranch Dressing. Recipes will be revealed on Instagram and Facebook, so make sure you're following along!

Over on the Shared Table, our online resource library and community hub, we’ve got a collection to take curious students behind the scenes of how broccolini is grown and delve into the science of what makes it such a nutritious vegetable. Our community members can access these resources here
