The mission of Whitsunday Anglican School (WAS) is, within a framework of Christian values, to provide challenging and supportive learning experiences that achieve the best outcome for the individual. We build the future with children who learn to imagine it here. Founded in 1988, WAS is a regional (North Queensland), co-educational school, with an enrolment of approximately 820 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Located on one campus, there are three sub-schools: Junior School (Years K-4), Middle School (Years 5-8) and Senior School (Years 9-12). WAS provides a week day boarding facility, servicing the Bowen Basin mining and pastoral regions in a 2-3 hour driving radius around Mackay
