Kitchen garden schools have been coming home with swags of ribbons from their local shows for produce and preserves from their kitchen garden programs.

Schools have been proudly announcing their show success on our Shared Table online community, so we thought we’d share them with you.

There have been ribbon-winning herbs, silverbeet, lettuce, grapes, potatoes, pumpkins, tomatoes, corn, pickled apples and cucumbers, chutneys, jams, sauces and basil pesto. Schools have also won awards for fantastic displays about their kitchen garden programs.

Scroll through the gallery of photos above to see some of the winning show entries from kitchen garden schools.

Notable mentions include Hallam Primary School’s ribbon haul at the Berwick Show, and Calare Public School’s very entertaining display at the Orange show, which included a life-size cut out of Stephanie Alexander!

Congratulations to all the kitchen garden schools who have highlighted their kitchen garden program at their local show.
